Kimberley Morris Rosen

Kimberley provides counseling and strategic legal advice to schools and nonprofit organizations. She advises independent schools on a wide range of issues, including compliance with state and federal law, student and family concerns, the development of education and employment related policies, and dispute resolution.  

Before joining Folger Levin, Kimberley maintained a solo practice working with schools and nonprofit organizations. She also served as in-house counsel at a startup that ran schools and developed a suite of educational technology products and worked as special counsel at a mission driven company focused on education and immigration work. Previously, she was a litigation associate at two national law firms and served as a law clerk to Judge M. Margaret McKeown on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  

Kimberley serves as an elected trustee on the Portola Valley School District board. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees at Castilleja School and is the President of the Castilleja Alumnae Board. Kimberley has also served as the President of the board of Windmill School and as a Girl Scout troop leader.  

Kimberley graduated with Distinction from Stanford Law School where she was an Articles Editor of the Stanford Law Review. She received her undergraduate degree in history from Princeton University. Kimberley is a Bay Area native and attended local independent schools for preschool through high school.
