Lexi Heller is an attorney in our Schools & Educational Organizations department.
Lexi advises schools, non-profit organizations, and employers on a broad range of legal issues. Her practice includes helping clients develop legally compliant education and employment related policies, advising clients on state and federal education and employment laws, providing counsel related to student and employee matters, and assisting clients in resolving disputes.
Before joining Folger Levin, Lexi was a trial attorney at a large international firm. She represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court and focused her practice on employment disputes, First Amendment issues, and internal investigations. Lexi brings this litigation and investigation experience into her advice and counsel work at Folger Levin.
Lexi graduated from the University of California Berkeley School of Law. She was a Publishing Editor of the California Law Review and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the La Raza Law Journal. She also represented juveniles in court at East Bay Community Law Center’s Youth Defender Clinic and volunteered at San Quentin State Prison doing Restorative Justice work.
Prior to law school, Lexi worked in public education and public policy for five years; first, as a high school teacher through Teach For America, and later, as a Legislative Assistant to a Member of Congress.
Lexi maintains an active pro bono practice and is a member of the California Bar.
